They were excellent musicians in the earlier part of their career. I never knew it as I only heard them after they had split up when they were not at their best... but in the early 60's these guys were truly amazing. I only realize it now. Thanks to BESTARTS for finding this and to YOUTUBE!

That's "muy simpático" indeed. Wonderful music -- too bad that "Los Hermanos Castro" have never gained larger (=worldwide) prominence.
But I have to correct you, BestArts, about the date: This clip is from 1963. According to jgdb(dot)com, it's from episode #3 which was taped July 16, 1963 and aired November 17, 1963, thus making it the last episode before JFK's assassination. That makes the happy mood in this clip a little poignant for me.
