Author of a world best seller book "The Power of Now" 1999 Eckhart Tolle points toward the "spaciousness" that surounds every object and every event in our lives. It must be obvious, but maybe to many of us unnoticed.

Satan always disguises himself as good (2 Corinthians 11:14), but he has control over all the minds that do not belong to God. "Satan, the god of this evil world, has blinded the minds of those who don't believe, so they are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News that is shining upon them. They don't understand the message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God" -2nd cor,4:4)
This, certainly includes Tolle and clearly shows how he is able to deceive so many

He represents further loss of personal responsibility and loss of freedom. And yes, me spending my money the way I see fit is FREEDOM. Human beings are inherently good, so we don't need a government mandate to make us generous. Those who want to spread the wealth are not better than the rest of us, they simply don't have faith in humanity and therefore do not trust their brothers to be charitable and just. Which ultimately means they have greedy and unjust personalities which they project.

jerry..thanks for your articulate response. The evolution of humanity beyond survival of the fittest is possibly a dream which may never manifest. However having a positivity in the States may now stimulate the economy and Obama will certainly be listened to around the world . He has the charisma of Kennedy. I hope your fascist minority don't shoot him.

I appreciate your sentiment and it is one shared by myself. However and unfortunately, Obama is not magically going to change this. The military-industrial complex is an embedded part of our welfare state and it is not about to go anywhere when Obama is elected. Quite to the contrary, he has promised even more concentration of power in the hands of our arrogant and reckless government. He isn't the messiah, he is another sign of the decay of western civilization.

"In liberation the story continues but now it is seen that it is just a story. All the passions of your apparent life are just stuff happening. The conflicts, the loves, the struggles for control and power, the victories and defeats are simply phenomena arising in oneness and falling away again with no meaning at all."

"Yoga" , enlightenment, or satori are when individual attention finds union with ever-present awareness.
The "sadhana" or discipline in which to trigger this is to continually pull the attention from mental ideations to the awareness of the present moment. Tolle is basically describing the experience and practice of Zen.

You are a sinner in need of a Savior.
That Saviors name is Jesus.
Reject Him and you are condemned.
