This is one of the biggest misconceptions about Witnesses, the idea that they believe only 144,000 will be "saved." Most Witnesses don't want to go to Heaven. They're waiting for Armageddon, then they expect to live forever in perfect health on a renewed earth.
What happens if you're a good Witness and die before Armageddon, ceasing to exist? Resurrection, ta-da.
Personally I don't see how any of this is harder to believe than the more conventional Christian beliefs, but hey.
