It's also confirmation bias. If you got the same feeling and nothing happened, then you'd not remember it. Fake psychics like Sylvia Browne depend on this. She and they all make hundreds of vague-ish predictions and the ones that are correct are lauded as undeniable proof and the failures are ignored by true believers.
