Deconstructing Phil Dr. Phil Blog 1 part 1

Back

Deconstructing Phil. is a blog that applies post-modern philosophy, psychoanalysis, and critical theory to the Dr. Phil show. While normally in a written blog format, at the website above, occasionally we have a video blog. This is the first part of the first video weblog, which discusses structuralism, post-structuralism, deconstructionism, text, signs, signifiers, signified, Roland Barthes, Kafka, Literature, Saussure, Platonic ideals, Derrida, and, of course, Dr. Phil.

'Dr.Phil is supposed to be our good conscious'. Thats why the show is fucking horrifying. In the uniform expression of the audience we see the neurotic character of toxic narrative already internalized being expressed.

yeah, its been pointed out before, and I noticed it too. But, our budget and production value are equally low, so there's not much to do in post-production but kick oneself. Thanks for paying attention, though.
