Herb can definitely be seen as something artificial, and that's a valid perspective. But my perspective, like yours, is that all things are essentially natural, because to me all things basically spring from the same source. On the other hand it's easy to get caught up on definitions that force you to make artificial distinctions between things, e.g "this is natural, but that's not." etc

Maybe your right about the difference between spiritual and physical benefits, but stil you could see herb as something 'artificial' too.

I dont think he smoked herb for its physical healing benefits as much as he did for its spiritual benefits.
It is also most likely that BM accepted death as a natural part of life and saw surgery as an artificial means to avoid what is essentially unavoidable.

I admire Bob Marley's music and his beliefs about life, but what I don't understand is this: He sees herb as something natural, but you can say that about surgery too. Because we, as people of the nature, created surgery. But why did he refuse medical help when he had cancer?
