Music video parody of symphonic/prog rock band Aethellis featuring the song "Hubris". The song remained in the Broadjam.com Progressive Rock Top 10 chart for 6 months, debuting at #1 on March 23, 2003. Aethellis' music has been described in reviews as a mix of Genesis/Tony Banks, Alan Parsons and Rick Wakeman.

I'd say this is prog.
There's a sudden change in mood at when the riff enters and when it ends, for example. + the synth solo :P

Besides the piano solo, i would not call this progressive. MAybe progressive for the 80's or something. Wasn't bad but reconsider the title of your genre

I understand your comment. Genres are often broad in definition as is the label "progressive." As the band has been compared in reviews to several well known progressive bands it wouldn't be a stretch to include them in that genre as I have. Sure the song has an 80s feel. But it also has quartal harmonies, diminished scale riffs, thematic recapitulations (e.g. the piano intro and guitar solo) and other features not found in typical pop. Odd time sigs can be found in other Aethellis songs.
