Predestination, Joe, and the Fish-Heads...

Back

Remember, I'm not trying to "invoke wrath" here... but only to point out the pointlessness in preaching "predestination."

It truly is pointless.

If it isn't pointless, then the only point you can possibly have is "elitism" or the "I don't need to preach to you" syndrome.

We are talking about God here right? Joe would have been born with a fish on his head, it is that simple. You don't understand, predestination is taught because we need to understand salvation is 100% God and 0% you! You need to realize that you are not saved because you said a prayer and asked for salvation, but because God led you to seek him, that is why you want to be saved, God has drawn you to him. God is in control of your salvation, not you! (John 15:16)

"Joe would have been born with a fish on his head, it is that simple."

-- You are obviously missing the point.

The point of this video is to show you that *if* you picked the option that you *just* stated that you picked... then preaching predestination is pointless.

Please... watch my video again and you'll see what I mean.

Similar to the idea of predestination is that some people are born rich and some people are born poor. Are the people that are born poor destined to be the same that they were born? We can certainly move up or down monitarily in life as well as other ways.

But if you are born rich, and become poor through the actions or non-actions of your life- or you win 5 million dollars in the lottery if you are poor- how can you say for certain that God didn't predestine life to become what it is?

"how can you say for certain that God didn't predestine life to become what it is?"

-- How can you be certain that He has?

Where the frick is Harvey (the rabbit) when you need him?

Oh Puka,
oh Puka where are you
I searched the night sky
but then it turned blue

I thought I saw patterns
in the mountains themselves
but then realized they
were just faults

the cloud it talked to me
it told me it was a dragon
then it changed as clouds do
to just a cloud again.

"Where the frick is Harvey (the rabbit) when you need him?"

-- Wow... I have no idea what you are trying to get at by that poem...

You quoted me- "how can you say for certain that God didn't predestine life to become what it is?"

And your response was-
-- How can you be certain that He has?

Harvey is the name of a movie from 1950 and also an "imaginary" character that is in the form of a rabbit. The imaginary character Harvey is a Pooka (Puka, Puca) which is a form of traditional Celtic fairy folk- Pooka's are shapeshifters, which can be frightening, but are usually benevolent.

You figure it out. Watch my vids.

The way I see it, whoever calls upon the Lord with all their heart will be saved. But no one will seek after the Lord with all their heart unless He's drawing them. God bless all those who do.

That's a load of crap. first of all, why wouldn't god draw everybody equally? Why would god arbitrarily give one person more of a chance than another, and how is that fair? I would naturally assume a fair god would give everybody an equal chance. Second of all, the whole concept of god drawing somebody to him is contrary to free will. You have to choose to follow him on your onw will, not have him make you want to follow him. cont...
HAILMASTERSATAN (August 18, 2008 at 5:02 pm)
You can pray to god and ask him to help you understand things better, but the choice to follow him is still yours. Plus religion isn't all that complicated, infact it's supposed to be simple, so one can potentially gain full knowledge and understanding of religion all on their own, without god's help.
