exactly, we have free will within our nature, and without Christ we cant do anything good because of the fallen state of man. God is in control of everything and chooses who he saves and dams, so we should relax knowing hes in control, but that doesn't mean were just puppets

If we could find one verse that advocates that man's will is free, the debate would end. This hasn't happened, though. In fact, there are many, many verses that say such things as you are either with God or against Him. If one assumes that God actually throws men into hell and grants men heaven and not merely their wills, verses like this and Eph. 1:4-5 really solidify the issue of predestination (at least for me.) I appreciate the views of this video. Obviously, being Reformed, I side with Zach's view, though. I think the term "free will" can be misused, too. So many people comment on my videos saying that "Men must choose!" as though I disagree. I think it's wrong to say that because the Bible does say that men must choose, this also means that a man's will is free. It's reading into the text something that isn't stated. (cont...)

Zach this was a good video man and made this conception to me a lot more clear. I look at you and Venom as really intelligent christians and you 2 have taught me a lot but I think I agree better with Shawn's point of you because GOD is good and does control everything but would still give us a chance to make things right. this video was great this has been a classic debate ive wondered about for a while and i think both of you are right that it is kind of both....two of the greatest christian thinkers of all time augustine and aquinas(tho much different time periods) differed on this issue and for anyone who wants to go in depth on this should read their writings... great job, and god bless!!!!
