yes, your friendly atheist does see a purpose to religion. and i ain't getting at the saving on military by brainwashing the ignorant slaves into believing if they are good they won't get their head cut off, or their insides pulled out and feed to dogs, or burnt. no, those are tedious scare tactics the ruling class love to use. that and you can go to heaven when your are dead and have what we have stolen from you.
no, today we are ranting about the positive side of religion. the concept, though, i failed to mention in the video that it helps maintain the written word, even if it is a lie, it is in language and language is going to release us from slavery.
slavery, yes, it is everyone. especially the 3rd world. but even in the first. though i must admit, i have managed to live quite free.
but the point, before my canned fish is over cooked.
religion is a test. it is a test to see if we can understand a bald face lie.
perhaps a very necessary test to get through, an evolutionary jump. so that we are fit for the stars.
but, wait, let's take it slowly, the stars will be there in 10,000 years. let us first learn to understand a bald faced lie when we are in it.
it is very necessary.
we are too talented to remain sheep. we must stop this silly following the tyrants and see what is and what isn't. know the difference between possible and a bald faced lie.

Evolution is good idea. There is proof. Current life evolved from past life. But where did past life come from? Looks like there's still work needing to be done on that one. I thought atheism freed the mind, not closed it. True faith comes from the impossible, not the possible. There is always room for doubt; there should always be questions? Have you really asked yours? Once you destroy religion, what is your plan? Logic is the path to enlightenment, not the destination.

Religion walks along with your faith, faith is a conviction of what you hope and a certainty of what you can't see.
So, you can't explain scientific matters with religion or a holy book in that way. Science however can explain/give "proof" for a god :) Science is when you collect data through observations and experiments and then make logical conclusions. This means that even science is to some point as false as any religion is :) Todays scientific truth can be a scientific lie tomorrow.

Unfortunatly fortunatly I don't have much to comment on your video, except it was 10 min that wasnt wasted. I had a good laugh, and that i count as a big thing for me. However what you said about no religious book is based on scientific facts. Well, then I would like to ask you what science really is. Religious books are not ment to be explaining the world we live in. It's not a question of how, but a question of why things are as they are. Science is one thing and religion is one.

evolution has nothing to do with darwin. he simply tried to understand it. and explain it to a people who were told to believe what the church tells them to believe. so they can be obedient law following working class.
the bible is just a story. the universe is a real and big thing. evolution is a real event. just look and see it.
