Free Hugs Campaign In Mumbai, India
BackAn unique way to spread love and make people happy.. Free Hugs Campaign is all about spreading love and happiness by giving a hug to a stranger. I m Vinit Mehta and after watching Juan Maan's video of Free Hugs I was really impressed and I got the campaign to my city -- MUMBAI (India). I am the first person to start this campaign in India to spread friendship, love and peace.
But imagine with the public morale so low, all one could do was pass around hugs! to cheer up people and to bring back the smiles. And I just needed to start it, to get out there and show that it could be done, to share the love! And I did it! I stood there waiting, calling out to people, and as if what everyone needed was actually just a spark, there I was ! Hugs started flying around everywhere, scenes of joy, laugther, happiness, celebration and so much more. So much footage that I could hardly choose the best scenes .... U wont believe but this free hugs video was as long as 42 minutes ..... And I had to cut it to 10 mins .. !! I received so many hugs.
I brought the "free hugs" campaign to India with good intention - out of grace and positive nature and the activity was very evidently wholesome and healthy.I got hundreds of hugs..People just forget everything and they come and give a hug.. I got a total of 1200 hugs in just 4 days !!!!
Free hugs was a good success in Mumbai, India. Initially I thought there might not be a good response .. becoz people in India are not open to physical contact. And me asking for a hug .. that would be too much !!! But I was totally wrong!! It all happened perfectly.. people were open ... They all came and gave a hug.. the response was overwhelming...
The media too covered the campaign. So many newspapers, tv channels and radio stations..
