its 2008 and rap music of today has gone to the gutters. bring back the style and rhythum of the 1980s and 1990s. positive k was brilliant back in them days. then u had naughty by nature, onyx, eric b, gangstaar and public enemy that were new yorks finest. we need to bring back hip hop music from that era to todays present and these new rappers like 50 cent, the game and jarule need to copy that era. todays rap music is bullshit.

Yeah I agree, but there's still real shit going down but you don't hear about it on the tv. I listen to a lot of european hiphop now, there's a lot of creativity going down currently although you got messed up main stream artists here as well.

yeah man i agree. You go to almost any good hip hop vid on youtube and theres always a bunch of people crying about how theres no good hip hop anymore. Do some searching and theres still hella tight shit coming out. Its just not mainstream.

the music and culture was hip hop. What mc's did over hip hop music was Rhythm and Poetry - rap. i agree the word "rap" has been bastardized and is used more interchangeably with hip hop then it used to be
