I think it is wonderful historical footage of the Blessed. Liturgy very "all over the place". I am not quite sure they know what they are doing or going to do next. This was typical of the old Roman Liturgy, however, I agree, that something was lost, but when our loved ones die we also lose. Life is about loss and more loss. Nostalgia can be sweet or it can be stagnation or depression. So many beautiful customs in life have gone besides he liturgy.

I don't think that the problems in the Church today are because of Vatican II, or the pope. I think that at least in the US, the bishops, and some of the cardinals, are the problem. The pope isn't for any of this liberal garbage that some of our bishops are allowing in our churches. Many of our RCIA programs are being tought by wolves in sheep's clothing. Our Lady of Akita was absolutely right about the Church being attacked from within.

I would also say that turning the altars around had something to do with the loss of faith and the loss of the sacred.

Yes, they reverence and respect it so much that only those at the altar even receive.
So there has been loss since then, but there has also been gain.

Look at the reverence for the Holy Eucharist compare to today. Communion in the Hand and Eucharistic ministers destroyed the Faith.
