Wicca is a Duo-Thiestic Religion.
I don't want to label myself as Pagan or even Neo-Pagan.

I think that the meaning of words can change. Paganism should be defined by the people who identify themselves as pagan.

for a pefect example of how words can change meaning to accommodate new phenomena are the seven deadly sins. check out how there meaning has changed over time.

Gerald Gardner never called it wicca He classed himself as a witch practicing withcraft, wicc was a term that came later in an atempt to rid the old view of what a witch was

Pagan : A believer in Paganism or Neopaganism. The term pagan is actually from Greek paganus, an adjective originally meaning "rural", "rustic" or "of the country." As a noun, paganus was used to mean "country dweller, villager. The semantic development of post-classical Latin paganus in the sense "non-Christian, heathen" is unclear. The dating of this sense is controversial, but the 4th century seems most plausible.

well in all honesty neo-pagans are just people tryin to revive ancient pagan beliefs, the wiccan's, neo-druids and neo-pagans all adopted ancient eltic polytheist festivals and turned them into something else but the true pagans left are the buddhists and hindus

Actually, the word Lord had the same meaning back then as it does now. The reason why Hlafford means "bread ward" is because he would portion out wheat products to all of his workers during Harvest. In other words he was The Boss and was paying them. The word Lord carries the same meaning today.

It makes sense when you think about it.I have a deep interest with the Religio Romana-which is the reconstruction of ancient Roman religion. It comes from my experience, that a lot of Roman recons, refer to themselves as Roman polytheist, or simply Romans-esp, members of Nova Roma.I've noticed the same things with Hellenes-Greek reconstructionists. Who refer to themselves as...

...(Cont), exactly that, Hellenes, or Hellenists-which I think is the most accurate. Please excuse and correct me, if I'm wrong about this.

In fact, I've recently, stopped referring to myself as a Pagan, and started calling myself a Roman polytheist, or simply a Polytheist.

*Catches her breath* XD

Well, for me, I have an interest in the Religio Romana-which is the reconstruction of the ancient Roman religion. Now, its been in my-although brief-experience, that most Roman reconstructionist, don't like calling themselves Pagan. Instead, they prefer to call themselves, Roman polytheist, or for those that are members of the Nova Roma, simply Roman. It also appears to me, that Hellenists-Greek reconstructionists-are very similar. The majority of Hellenes, I've bumped into call themselves...
