I don`t think this should be subtitle because u can`t handle philosophy without knowing german. and if u`re not interested in philosophy (not knowing german), why watch?
Blunic (December 27, 2008 at 8:45 pm)
please calm yourself with the stupidity. what you just said simply shows how ignorant you must be of philosophy and i'm not talking about philosophy as a subject of study.
tiamattiamatre (December 28, 2008 at 7:28 am)
you are ignorant in philosophy if you don`t know German. And philosophy is a subject of study (nobody cares whether you consider it so or not)

it is not worth it to engage in discouse with a moron like you. it is ridiculous to think that there can be people who claim to be critical thinkers and be such fucking idiots. but you are clearly a fucking idiot. im sorry for the language.

no "strange man" - one of the most important philosophers of the 20. centurys, who did influence a lot of todays philosophy.

That doesn't exclude the possibility of Heidegger being a strange man. If you know something about his biography, you'll have to agree with me that there are at least some strange aspects to Heidegger as a person and as a thinker.

One must read Leo Strauss' discussion of Heidegger's project for mankind to fully understand what spirit fills this strange man. Strauss explains the movement of Heidegger's thought from Being & Time, to his intimation of a "world religion." It is found in Strauss' essay called "Existentialism" published in 1995; Interpretation,Vol.22,Nr3. If anyone wants this essay, email me, and I will send it to you.
