What amazes me is the hate that these people have for the gospel...brethern let us not argue with these people, because they have the spirit of contemption, we have planted the seed nd there isnt much more we can do.I love this church, because I have felt it to be real. Ignore these people with the opposing spirit, these judgement awaits them (sucks to be them)

Joseph Anderson Jul 29 1974 L.D.S. Historical Dept:
"For example, Joseph Smith made MANY CORRECTIONS in the 1837 and the 1840 editions of the Book of Mormon. ... "
Smith said the BoM was "most correct of any book on earth"
MANY CORRECTIONS? in the most corrected book?
The Book has been cooked!

Carth, It's ok. What's going on here is that these "people" are so disconnected through their computers that they don't realize that they are talking with living human beings. These people would never knock on your door and say the nasty things to you in person to your face. But here you don't have a face so they treat you as if you are "nothing". Anything goes with them as long as they can distract people from the truth. If you are 12 you don't need to be here, ingesting these evil comment

If you say so. I don't see still how in 1978 there was any big pressure being put on the church. I didn't answer the racist question because nobody asked me. I don't think it's ever ok to be racist or make racist statements. I don't purport to know exactly why things were the way they were in the Bible and why God had a chosen people, or why he only allowed certain people to have certain blessings and responsibilities. I don't know. Judge us as you would the Bible. Be fair not sarcastic.

Of course there was huge pressure by 1978 on the church to stop racist policies. How could a church that is racist even be considered to be a true church. The parallels you offer are not parallels at all. It's about equal treatment for all. The good samaritan parable is all about equality for minorities. I guess Joseph Smith and Brigham never got the memo. Too bad for them.

I guess. And there were also huge pressures on the Old Church to change it's policies and unclean beasts. How convenient! I guess it was easier to be accepted by those they wanted to convert and for the gospel to be spread much more quickly. Or Paul and the guys didn't want to squirm at the dinner tables of the gentiles when invited to eat. Amazing what apostles will make up when pressured. And I never mentioned the good samaritan as a parallel.

The 1978 "revelation" was not actually a revelation but an "OFFICIAL DECLARATION—1"
Nothing more than POLITICAL EXPEDIENCY the mormon prophets have dried up and have not added any "scripture' for almost 100years!
"Since that momentus day in 1920 ADDITIONAL SCRIPTURE has continued to come including the NUMEROUS and vital revelations flowing in a never ENDING STREAM from God to His prophets on the Earth" Spencer W Kimbal in CR Conference Report Apr 1977 p114
WHERE IS THE never end stream?

How does this square with this?
Joseph Anderson on July 29, 1974 ( managing director of the L.D.S. Historical Department), we read:
"For example, Joseph Smith made MANY corrections in the 1837 and the 1840 editions of the Book of Mormon. ... "
How many different EDITIONS are there?
Why do the 2 supposedly oldest "revelations" of 'angelic' ordinations not appear in any of the many editions UNTIL 1876?
The 1829 Promise of the priesthood becomes a big FISH STORY in 1876!!!!
