spg4321, I thought your point was interesting until I looked it up. In Matt 4:10 Jesus himself said that it is God alone that should be worshipped. This tells me that the elders were worshipping God in Revelation and not God and Jesus both. I mean, I would have to reason that way based on Jesus' words.

I was raised a jehovahs witness, but when I was old enough to make my own decisions I realized how messed up some of their beliefs are. Children should NOT be raised to believe the end of the world could come at any second. JW's believe anyone who is NOT a jw will be killed in armageddon. It feels terrible to think god will kill all of your friends who arent jw's any minute...and yes JW's don't celebrate any holidays. But Xmas is BS and superficial anyway so its not that dissapointing.haha.

the Jehovah Witness is false, they change the bible and don't believe that Jesus is God, Jesus said in John 8 that if you don't believe who he says he is you will die in your sins, the bible says all over the place that he is God

the only reason jehovas witnesses dont celebrate birthdays is because there are 2 accounts in the bible of birthdays being celebrated. Now on these two accounts bad things happened. It doesn't say to not celebrate birthdays in the bible. They just choose not too because its kind of pointless.

Yes this self devised publishing house of exploitation has harmed many lives over the years since its been established even as far as death to certain people. Applying fear of course is the way they keep the faithful doing what they want them to do and keeps them in subjection to their so called power that they have decreed for themselves
In a regular meeting you can count the times the name "Jesus" is mentioned and compare that with the number of times "faithful and discreet slave" is mentioned.
Seems like the FDS gets more of the praise.
