Nothing can replace swimming, running or cycling as the most effective cardio workouts. Running is the best but hardest on your joints. Swimming is 2nd best, easy on joints and works whole body. Cycling is 3rd, good for legs and still good for joints.

This is an effective module.
1. Warm up 5mins
2. U max sprint for 30secs which is possible.
3. U slow down and come to a walking pace for 60secs or 90secs If u need more rest.
4. Do this for 6 times repeatedly.
5. Cooldown ( Do some stretches )

Do this in 3-4 times a week on alternate days as your heart would need rest.

Do not eat too much like a fag. Eat moderately.

Most importantly : Hard to Easy speed.

If you follow what I say. You will get some results in 3-4 weeks.

What is lift then run?
Jono1211 (November 17, 2008 at 10:47 pm)
It means doing the weight lifting workout first, and HIIT second.. after doing the resistance training.

Thank you soooo much ive been doing it wrong for the past three days shit! lol does HIIT work even if you feel your muscles are really tired but you're not really sweating that hard? amd you stop after 4 or 5 minutes doing 30 sec HIIT and 30 rest? I sprint and walk on a tredmill

Yea I've actually been doing HIT as well, except I warm up for 5 min, then 1 min interval, 2 min recovery and repeat it about 5 times, then cool down 5 min, I run for 25 min 4 days out of the week, plus I jump rope for 10 min after. I Do hit on even days and resistance training on odd days.

actually you should never do cardio after weight lifting. Your body burns calories needed to build muscle if you run right after a lifting session.

Ok now you got me confused everybody says something different... ive been lifting and doing hiit on mondays wednesdays and fridays and doing cardio on tuesdays thursdays and saturdays what am i doing wrong??? plz answer
anhtran (November 19, 2008 at 9:00 pm)
i suggest doing hiit before lifting. Never do any form of cardio after lifting weights, if you do weight atleast 8 hrs after lifting before doing a cardio session.

? You must not hit intervals hard. Do it afterward or your weight lifting will be worthless.
Better yet, do them on different days.
