"Truly, truly, I say to you, a slave is not greater than his master, nor is one who is sent greater than the one who sent him." John 13:16
Both the slave and the one sent are just as human as the master and the sender, having the same human essence and nature that the master and sender have. Thus, greater here must mean in position and authority, not in essence and nature.

The Greek word for '(only) begotten' is 'monogenes'.
'Mono' translates 'single, unique, sole, singular' and speaks of nature, not birth.
'Genes' (genos) translates clan, offspring, house, genus, class, kind, family, progeny, sort, species, direct/collateral descent, tribe, race, stock, kin, and speaks of nature, not source.

In both words, we see that reference is to nature. Jesus was God in nature (homoousios - being of one substance);

TQ for the comment.

But then,

u stated that Jesus said: My father is greater than i...

Father > Jesus NOT Father = Jesus.

This equation clearly show to us, Jesus is not Equal to His Father.

Surely The Father CREATE Jesus and not Jesus create his father.

If the father is the Greatest, then ONLY to the father we have to submission.

please see my comment on ur youtube profile. by the way referring to what ur arguing for in ur comment for this video, whyh does the bible then call him the begotten son? what do u mean by begotten not made? it is blashpemy. 'it is not befitting (the majesty) of God that he should beget a son' (Qur'an)

"Son of God" refers to the nature of Christ(not being the actual child coming to existence through intercourse)! As a Son of man, Jesus was human. As the Son of God, Jesus was divine... God in flesh!

What do you mean by "the miracle of Jonah is why thats true?"
jamalmehmood (November 14, 2008 at 2:11 pm)
The Christian speaker fails to address the verse that the muslim quoted. Something about the son not bearing the inequity of the father. he beats around the bush.

i think he suggested that its not quite the specific sin we inherit, but the sinful nature, thats what it sounded like to me at least
jamalmehmood (November 14, 2008 at 2:09 pm)
Jesus did not die. And the miracle of Jonah is why thats true.
