Louise Mahler is dynamic as a speaker and facilitator and is known for her ability to lead, inspire and motivate others to succeed. Louise conducts innovative programs involving performance skills for professionals in corporate settings of both private and government sectors. Her focus is a deeper understanding of the authentic representation of the person in communication, skills for which she builds upon from a performance background.
Louise's qualifications include: B.Econ; B. Mus; Post Grad Dip Music; L.Mus.A; Master of Applied Science and she has recently completed a PhD in the faculty of Business. She is also accredited in MBTI and is a Neuro-Linguistic Practitioner.
Following completion of her economics degree Louise became an opera performer for fifteen years. As a performer she pursued a career in classical voice in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and England, including recitals, oratorio, a two-year contract with the Vienna State Opera and leading roles in Festivals in Salzburg, London and Aldeburgh. Among the distinguished figures with whom she has worked are Sir Peter Pears, Heather Harper, Murray Perahia, Sir Peter Ustinov, Elizabeth Schwarzkopf, Sir Charles Mackerras, Hans Hotter, Kerstin Meyer and Galina Vishnevskaya.
Her personal voice/body/breath work for singers and actors has taken her to Vienna, London, Cardiff and Salzburg where in 1998 and 2000 she assisted Professor Mueller-Preis with international vocal masterclasses for actors and singers at the Salzburg Festival.
Enhancing her performance with business training Louise changed her career path considerably by stepping into the IT world as she moved through computer support to training documentation and quality management before finding her niche in Human Resource Development.
Louise has developed her niche area, drawing on the vast experience gained through working as a performer. As a Vocal Philosopher and Change Agent, the use of Individual Communication Coaching, Vocal Psychology and Vocal Intelligence offer a unique perspective in handling the presentation of self, in person or over the phone, particularly in stressful situations and positions of de-powerment.
