its not subjective thinking, the pearl jam version is superior in every single way - its just fact. Also what is so good about PJ's version is the sheer quality of the lyrics - thats what makes this song, anyone with a decent voice can make a cover of something. Anyway Vedders voice is superior and unique, plus the guitar sucks in this one

Same here .. I guess there is no question about "Which is better" They are different. And each of it is very good in its own way. You can't generealize one of them is better cuz this is sujective thinking .. so everyone please decide for yourself ;)

I'm a big PJ's fan, and I can't understand why there should be such a big problem of this cover, I don't like it better than Pearl Jam's, but It's a good cover, maybe those Seether's fans don't know that this song belongs to Pearl Jam, and if Seether is singing it maybe it's because they like and admire PJ too. So lets just say they are free to listen and like whatever they want, but PLEASE don't say this is better than the original one, that is just not possible.

but in its own way..you cant really compare these...there differant in vocals..more distortion...

well...it doesn't exactly suck. Listen to Pearl Jam's version...Eddie Vedder has a much more soulful voice. This guy is a little...I dunno. It's a copy, and a poor one at that.

as much i am a fan of seether it upsets me that the seether version of immortality got more views then the original by pearl jam its a great cover but it bugs me
