Exorcised Containement
BackCollages, paintings, and drawings in a spiral bound book. I consider this to be one piece, that is to say, the work is more about the book as a whole than each individual collage or painting. It came about as a desire to paint on a large scale but being limited to work within a confined space. I began working on EC in 2001 in Austin, TX. and completed the majority of it while living in Mexico City later that year. Though I often work within books this is by far one of my more dense projects.
