It's great that Fantagraphics is finally reprinting all of Segars strip from the beginnning (1929)
starting with Popeye's first appearance,
The goal being to completely reprint all of the Segar Popeyes.

It was Bluto. For some reason, once King Features Syndicate took over Popeye and ruined it for life, there was a "rights" controversy over the name Bluto. Thus Bluto became Brutus.
