I hav'nt read the book,so i cannot comment on it. But watch a nature program on TV,and observe the bahavioural patterns that all animals have in common. You can learn alot about yourself. This is true evolutionary psychology.forget the theories,see yourself

One reason why I think you disagree with the idea of "aggression" is because you have lived your life in a civilized society. Whereas if you had lived your life in a more "tribal" setting, where we did a lot of our evolving, you might not feel the same.

I think you're refering to the retaliatory aggression bit? If so, You are correct. I have no idea what it's like to live in a tribal society. But what I did a poor job of suggesting was that, with consciousness came an ability to think & to revert back to a primal instinct, should be behind us. That we should use our heads not out fists to settle disputes. This is completely idealistic and impractical, I know, lol. But you do raise a good point!
