hmmm, maybe the Gäubodenvolksfest. It's a bit smaller and with fewer tourists (and "Saupreißn" ;-)), and the beer is cheaper. It takes place in Straubing, next year on the 7. till 17. August.

The Bavarians are friendly, uhm! I find this dance very funny. Germans don't like the sterotype associated with it.
