I recently had to endure AP Environmental Science in the second semester of my junior high school year. The teacher ensured us regularly that the government would take care of the irresponsible, greedy industrialists that were stinking up the place. How fortunate!

I gave an anti-environmentalism speech at the end of the year. I was restricted by a two minute time limit, but it was good fun.

Ab-so-lu-te-ly great talk and very clarifying indeed! I was still puzzling where the moral trap was in the green movement. And now there u go. Thanks so much.

It's all so backwards. If anything is going to enable the increasing population of the Earth to survive, it'll have to be scientific advancement and that will have to be generated by industrial competition. By handicapping the industrial development of science and therefore the development of higher efficiency cleaner production methods, the environmentalists are effectively shooting themselves in the foot. The goal is clearly not the good of humanity. The goal is quite clearly its death.

What a wakeup call! The Discovery Channel is a pipline for this garbage. They just changed Discovery Home to Planet Green. They have one wacko who lectures people on reducing their "carbon footprint", reminds me of the political officers in Soviet Russia. Big Green Monsterniks!

That test is sick. Interesting show.

No kidding (re the test). I note that, due to a lot of international backlash, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) took out some of the death language, replacing it with something like "Here's how many years of your life it will take for you to use up all of your SHARE of the earth's resources". Murder implied. How nice of them.
filmzo (July 17, 2008 at 2:48 am)
I know. The whole 'your share' of course has socialistic/Communistic implications that it's unearned.
Environmentalism= a new religion/cult. One without the 'selfishness' of an afterlife. But it still has that 'be ashamed to be human' aspect.
