Ego Is a Closed Loop

Back

Andrew Cohen and Ken Wilber, the radical "Guru and Pandit," dialogue about ego, that highly developed post-modern sense of individuality--and pathological narcissism. Go more deeply into why, in a modern context, ego remains the perennial foe to spiritual development and to the evolution of consciousness.

Ego is still impermanent, we can see through it, I did. I do regularly, in meditation, although, there are far more things that can be done with meditation, clear awareness. You are generalizing. However, most people consider themsleves to be supernatural, like MAH EGO I WINNN TEH COOOLZ. The ego is just a highly inforced form of behaviour and mental habits for surval, it's not separate from the universe, therefore we can tamper with its very nature!

what is ego? What is self? what is definition? what is norm? what is culture? what is habit? what is concept? what is theory? what is life? what is you? what is animal? what is mankind? for a mentally ill person, he may not feel "shameful" being naked in front of a crowd, so does he still have a soul because if he has one, the soul is not going to change whether he is ill or not, so do we have a soul? Buddha said Anatta.

With respect Fireblade, you're wrong about these men not being compassionate.
