Author of a world best seller book "The Power of Now" 1999 Eckhart Tolle points toward the "spaciousness" that surounds every object and every event in our lives. It must be obvious, but maybe to many of us unnoticed.

have you done much meditation?

BRICK-There is a conflict between What Mr. Tolle says and what you believe to be the REAL DEAL. Your refusal to under-
tand what he's saying serves to protect your IDEAS. "Sacred"
ideas. Who are you without your "sacred" ideas?

Im done talking with you, I think that is the second time you have totally avoided the questin i asked. If you would stil like to tell me what kind of meditation you have done and the benefits you have experienced i would like to hear it, but if you don't want to talk about anything personal, only vague concepts about Tolle that have nothing to do with your life, im done. I think its obvious to you im a Christian and you are not interested in talking to a Christian about these deep isues on life

Stephen, I'm sorry to offend you. Meditation takes many outward forms but essentially it is observing WHAT IS. This is
the greatest miracle. To SEE it is the greatest miracle. The miracle is always now so you always have it there waiting only for you to see it again and again and maybe constantly.

what is your relationship with God then? I feel like there is still something missing, there is something more to it than simply focusing on breathing, what are the implications of attaining enlightenment for your daily life, does it include implications of afterlife or your growth as a person or anything outside of who you are right now?

Hi Stephen...I know little of God but have experienced an overwhelming feeling of love and devotion ..perfect peace and contentment. As to afterlife , no one has ever come back to tell us . All the eschatology is conceptual. If you want a belief system which gives you comfort then self exploration may not be for you, try one of the mainstream religions..they'll sell you an insurance policy ( that is unlikely to pay out ). Peace.

haha, ok... Jesus did come back from the dead, but regardless im goina stop responding, I hope you find what your looking for. Peace.

I'm not looking for anything. Life is as it is , I am as I am ..we are as we are.

You (We) ARE God. What is your relationship with yourself? Imagine the Universe (God) as a pond. We are ripples in the pond. All religions are sign posts (pointers) to one true universal reality in all religious/spiritual teachings. No words could possibly hope to describe God. In the same way that a map IS NOT the same as the area it describes, the bible (or any other text) could never hope to describe what truly is. My $0.02.
Protecting and enhancing that false sense of self then becomes your primary motivating force.
