IF the speed of light were as much greater in the Garden of Eden days as the YECs need it to be, then E=mc² would mean that the conversion of a given amount of matter would produce THOUSANDS OF TIMES more energy (mass MULTIPLIED BY the speed of light SQUARED, remember?).

That in turn means that the VERY FIRST TIME Adam (or any of the animals created a Day or two EARLIER, for that matter!) ate ANYthing, their own metabolism would've caused them to do a credible impersonation of a Mother of All Bombs (MOAB), if not a TACTICAL NUKE!

Largo64 is technically wrong when he says that a circle is like a coin. No, a circle is more like a RING or HULA-HOOP. It has NO surface. It's ONE-dimensional LINE SEGMENT "bent" into a second dimension, not a true TWO-dimensional object.
A two-dimensional round surface is called a DISK (or "DISC" in proper ENGLISH as opposed to American), NOT a CIRCLE.
Flat shapes: line segment (1D), square (2D), cube (3D).
Round shapes: circle (1D), disc (2D), sphere (3D).

Good points. I was thinking in terms of a coin being circular. Should I say "discular"? ;^>
And your second part says round shapes include a circle. I don't think anyone in Isaiah's time would have been aware of geometric figures composed of lines and points, neither of which has any objective existence.

There is a perfectly good Hebrew word for "sphere," WHICH ISAIAH HIMSELF USED in another passage, but NOT to refer to the EARTH. He used it to refer to a BALL.
The word that Isaiah used to refer to the Earth *NEVER* refers to a sphere. Not EVER.
I challenge you to show me ANY ancient Hebrew writing that shows "chwug"/"hhug" referring to an actual SPHERE (other than the Earth), for instance, a BALL.

When someone in ancient times talked about the earth being a circle they may very well have compared it to the moon, which appears circular. But they didn't know the moon was a sphere. It looks to an unschooled eye like a disc.

The Moon is pretty obviously a sphere even to the unaided eye, given how the light of the sun plays on its surface during its various phases (NOTHING LIKE a disc), and how the brightest-lit part ALWAYS points DIRECTLY to the Sun at its nearest point in the sky.
A lunar eclipse, which was obviously the Earth blocking the Sun's light from the Moon even to the ancients, is demonstrative proof that the Earth is round, since its shadow on the Moon is likewise round.

first off, no such evidence exists other than it's necessary for YECs to explain away astronomic observations of objects thousands to millions of light years away.
The speed of light is FUNDAMENTAL to E=mc² (the "c"). This in turn is FUNDAMENTAL to EVERY process that converts matter to energy or vice-versa.
