That's what I mean when I say they're "punk as fuck". Punk is a way of thinking anyway, punk ROCK is the musical genre.

Yes they play THRASH METAL, not punk, but thrash is an evolution of hardcore/punk and they're huge punk fans (Undisputed Attitude docet): Their uncompromising attitude and sincere "fuck off" interviews are where their punk spirit shines through. Part of their riffing style and Araya's fast singing are clear examples too (The main influence on Araya when he sings fast is KURT BRECHT of D.R.I. he said so himself).
