Example:If i told you to explain to me somthing like exactly how God created the earth, you would most likley fail in giving the exact system or rationale God used in doing so...the result simply put "God created the earth."And your argument for a Christianized culture is needless to say flagrantly weak. People all over the world, in all cultures have come to Christ, and if you think America is "Christian" you obviously dont watch the news or go out of your house for that matter.

1)The problem of evil is explicitly delt with in the bible in full. I suggest you read Genisis again minus your presups and look at Adam's relationship to God.
2) Much of the OT's as you put it "Craziness and Superstitous" content is a narritive. You have to realize that a very finite being was putting into words what an inifinte being was revealing to him.

the problem being, that what is plausible to you and criag is inherently implausible to any right-minded citizen of the modern world. virtually any other theory is more plausible than a man getting resurrected. let alone the fact that a triune god actually makes no sense... your world view makes you think miracles are plausible, simply because they are in the bible. how about all other purported miracles in the world? on what basis do you not believe them, but believe the ones in the bible?

johnnyp, your comments are too erratic to merit a reply. If you seriously would like to talk about the Trinity PM me.

it's ok, i debate this at length in my phillosophy/theology pub debating sessions. all ican say is 1) the problem of evil has never been satisfactorily answered if one agrees a personal god is omni potent/scient/benevolent. 2) the craziness and superstitious content of the OT being the foundation for 2 world religions. if one takes the outsider test, and treats the OT/bible from someone that has not been brought up within its culture, it is a lot more ridiculous than you would think.

I found it interesting that William Lane Craig sounded so uncomfortable when repeatedly questioned about whether or not the biblical texts contain mistakes, and whether or not a later writing such as the Gospel of John is less historically accurate than the earlier Gospel of Mark.

Craig did nothing but "tip-toe" around those questions, showing that he is so committed to his belief in the inspiration and perfection of the biblical texts that he cannot act or practice as a historian.

Is that a NATURAL lightning strike or a SUPERNATURAL one? I hear it makes a big difference!
INTJ22 (November 25, 2008 at 4:54 pm)
"To be struck by lightening is a little more probable than being raised from the dead."

Totally irrelevant to the point being made.
