alot of deadly animals are extinct because of humans. but you are right when you said humans cant kill a dinosaur with a sword unless its a young one like 1 week old even at two weeks they may be to huge. but the dinosaurs conflict with each other making the numbers less menacing.

the wolf was near extinction, the Caspian tiger is extinct,Barbary lion. anyway the animals conflicting with each other will balance out the population.for example a lion keeps grazers numbers under control be eating them crocs also.
