Biblical Proofs of The Nicene Creed

I believe in one God (Heb. 11:6),
the Father (1 Cor. 8:6)
almighty (Rev. 1:8),
Maker of heaven and earth (Ex. 20:11),
and of all things visible and invisible (Jer. 32:17).
And in one Lord (Acts 10:36)
Jesus (Matt. 1:21)
Christ (John 4:25),
the only-begotten Son of God (John 1:14),
born of the Father, before all ages (1 John 4:9):
God of God, light of light (John 1:4),
true God of true God (John 5:18);
begotten, not made (John 8:58);
consubstantial with the Father (John 10:30);
by whom all things were made (John 1:3).
Who for us men an for our salvation (Matt. 1:21)
came down from heaven (John 3:31),
and was incarnate by the Holy Ghost (Luke 1:35)
of the Virgin Mary (Luke 2:6f);
and was made man (John 1:14).
He was crucified also for us (Mark 15:25);
suffered under Pontius Pilate (Matt. 27:26),
and was buried (Matt. 27:60).
And the third day he rose again (Matt. 28:6)
according to Scriptures (1 Cor. 15:4);
and ascended into heaven (Luke 24:51).
He sitteth at the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19);
and he shall come again with glory (Matt. 25:31)
to judge the living and the dead (2 Tim. 4:1)
of whose kingdom there shall be no end (Luke 1:33).
And in the Holy Ghost (John 14:26),
the Lord (cf. Is. 6:8; Acts 28:25),
and Giver of life (Rom. 8:2),
who proceedeth from the Father (John 15:26)
and the Son (Rom 8:9)
who, together with the Father and the Son, is adored and glorified (Rev: 4:8);
who spoke by the prophets (2 Pet. 1:21).
And one (John 10:16)
holy (Eph. 5:26)
Catholic and (Rom. 10:18)
apostolic church (Eph 2:20).
I confess one baptism (Eph 4:5)
for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38).
And I look for the resurrection of the dead (Rom. 6:5)
and the life of the world to come (Matt 25:34).
AMEN.

In this four-part series, Catholic Apologist, Vic Scaravilli, teaches his students how to do explain and defend the Catholic faith with Mormon missionaries.

Also included is personal testimony of an encounter with Mormon missionaries from one of Vic's students, named Dee.

Vic also has written materials available on my website, www.catholicdigitalstudio.com (Catholic Digital Studio) that specifically teaches Catholics how to speak with Mormon missionaries. Look on the homepage for "The Writings of Vic Scaravilli" on the Library's Table of Contents.

I personally do not know that much about Mormonism. If Mormons take issue with Vic Scaravilli, I'll refer you to him if I am unable to answer your questions or comments.

God Bless!

Protestants are wounded Christians because they do not have the fullness of Truth nor the true form of worship possessed by the Catholic Church. (Per the new document published by the Vatican as of last week).

God the Father Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are the only ones I worship. Sorry, Mary doesn't fall into that category. Although I believe she was holy, we shouldn't pray to her. Remember your 10 commandments??

The rules of this conversation are: no bashing of the Catholic Church, Christ, the Virgin Mary, the Pope or any of her priests. Nor is there to be lewd or sarcastic comments made about Catholics in general. No accusations. Any more of this gusdogg2345 and I'll block you. Make your comments pertinent to this conversation or go. My rules, my video. God Bless!

Let's put it this way, gusdogg, I just had a friend commit suicide and I'm not in the mood to put up with garbage from people such as you. If you want to debate Catholicism, then go to Catholic Answers Forum, Apologetics section and do it there. I mean it. Mess with me and you'll be blocked.

So you can attack another church and that's ok but you can't take any of your own medicine. Sounds real fair and open.
Button36 (July 20, 2007 at 12:14 am)
I think I've been fair in what I've allowed here.
gusdogg2345 (July 14, 2007 at 10:07 am)
Yeah it really sounds like they were inspired. I'm sorry that your God is a god of confusion. Answer me this question does God have a body?

Oh, also, the slideshow video part is done. I'm just having waiting on the music, which still needs to be recorded at Church. Please be patient and you'll have your explanation of the Creed. Or you can look at the text flyout. It's all there. God Bless!

"Believers in the doctrines of modern Christendom will reap damnation to their souls (Bruce R. McConkie, Mormon Doctrine, p.177).
