Climate Change - Is CO2 the cause? - Pt 1 of 4
BackThe first of four parts where Professor Bob Carter uses the scientific method on the popular theory with global warming being linked to CO2 levels. He examnines the hypothesis and it fails the test. Inconvenient Truth author Al Gore would find his presentation contradicted by this presentation? Will kyoto`s greenhouse reduction goals be in vain?

RA - For the near and mid term, I expect automobile technology to move strongly toward partial and perhaps full dependence on electricity for two reasons related to CO2 mitigation. First, power plants produce less CO2 than internal combustion engines per unit usable power. Probably more important, though, we've begun an inevitable transition to electricity generation using renewable energy instead of coal, in order to reduce carbon emissions to the extent necessary for climate protection.

"Not being a politician,"
You surprise me.
"I can't predict exactly how this will evolve, "
of course you think they are prophets they accurately predicted in IPCC Summary for Policy Makers what the "scientists" would say.

**For instance My Car can run on almost anything but I use Gasoline at now $2.70**
That'sa gallon
I can run my car without modification on pure gasoline t0 pure ethonal but Corn Ethonal is $23 a gallon, lighter fluid for $86 a gallon,Kerosine for $36 a gallon
With her regulator she can run on Hydrogen for $47 a gallon,Butane for $57 a gallon.
I have considered making her Electric but she needs $15,000 of batteries that would need to be change every 5000 miles plus the $25000 conversion

**No, Big auto laid off people cause their SUV sales slumped and reluctantly retooled to make hybryds**
The combustion engine is over 200 years old. It's abosolete, but it is cheap.
There is notheing wrong with cars today other then they use a "ancient" combustion engine as their powerhouse
Electric cars have been around since the 1800's and the popularity of gasoline powered cars is gasoline is relatively cheap.

**Incidentally, when U.S. gallon exceeded $4gallon, substantial changes in public behavior already became evident - less driving, hybrids purchased instead of SUV's, and increased pressure for alternative energy solutions**
But did the alternative power magically pop out the Ass?
Did Hybred Cars magically pop out the ass?
Did Electric cars fall bellow $80,000 or get better millage?
No, Big auto laid off people cause their SUV sales slumped and reluctantly retooled to make hybryds

**1)Filtration technology has gotten cleaner and cleaner in the last 50 years
2)Catalyst converters have been phased out**
What does this have to do with Humans not being responsible for the 280pp - 380ppm gain?
Well besides the fact that any Enviomental estimate of Human Co2 output x 150 years divided by the weight of the atmopshere has never even accounted for a 1ppm increase, CO2 can't magically get past filtreation systems or even be magically made unless there is a catalyst converter
2)Catalyst converters have been phased out**

**Uncompensated increases in carbon costs are not only politically unfeasible, but also undesirable.**
How about unproven and nonexistant?
The wanna be "Eviromental Experters are so busy showing us CO2 graphs increasing and tempature increasing in corolated data that they fail to prove the 2 most incredible "leap of faith" points in their Hypothosis that it is humans fault

Not being a politician, I can't predict exactly how this will evolve, but a reasonable framework would be the following - increased carbon costs (via taxes or cap-and-trade), tax credits unrelated to energy consumption, and then additional credits or bonuses for energy conservation (fuel efficient cars, insulation, solar panels, etc.), with special emphasis on low income families so that they come out not only even but ahead if their lifestyle is comfortable but prudent.
No you are disputing that paleoclimatology is relevant I kknow you were too dense to understand the referrence to Michael Manns failed attempt at it.
