This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. There is no magical force that's going to 'heal' you when you get tragically ill. This entire thing is fucking stupid, even their name has science in it while absolutely tossing out anything scientific. I hope you crazy fucks all get west nile or something and try to 'heal' yourselves. Take yourselves right out of the gene pool.

Christian - A person who adheres to christianity, a monosthetic religion centered on the life and teachings of jesus of nazareth.
Science - (From the latin "scientia", meaning knowledge or knowing) The effort to discover, and increase human understanding how the physical world works.

CS is not about DENIAL. my friend is a christian scientist is the most respectable person i know. she does not ignore tombers, or spread diseases, she heals them. she has overcome more boundaries,than anyone i know. she had a growth on her side, and after 1 week of praying it fell off. doctors feared she was going to die, or at least lose a limb.the only reason people deny it, is because it takes effort.dont poison other peoples views because you dont like something. let them try it out

There are words for this kind of thinking: "Denial & delusion". Denial is a disease all in itself; its the mark of addiction. You can deny anything until you don't notice it anymore; like an ostrich putting his head in the sand until the dog bites him in the butt. Then you deny the bite & it gets infected & you die. Family just gets a new ostrich! Denial is what it is all about. We spread a lot of disease because of denial. How do you think Typhoid Mary spread typhoid but through her own denial.

This is all so true!! I wish it weren't; but it is. I watched my entire family "crash and burn" one by one because all their problems were denied & they just kept getting worse & worse. Marriage problems got denied & swept under the rug, divorces happened but never discussed, kids got hurt or sick or in trouble & nobody talks real to the kids just force them to read the Science & Health with Key to the Scriptures for hours until your problem goes away (trance-out in other words.)It's a mess!!

To get to specifics, C.S. teaches that Christ came here to teach us the absolute unreality of matter; that matter is all a figment of an imagination that is not fixed on God. Sin, sickness & death are unreal. If you are sick, or if someone is molesting you, it is unreal, because your belief is warped. These sins are all due to your thought & attitude; a reflection of where your head is at. You must do all your healing work alone or with a CS Practitioner,deny the dream that you are sick.

To answer your first one: Yes, we all (and I mean everybody) relate to the one infinite God as his loved children. In this way we are all brothers and sisters in Christ. This relationship breaks down the barriers of sect, creed, race, nationality; and explains Paul's statement, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus." -Gal 3:28

To answer your FIRST first question: There are six tenets of Christian Science and the first one reads "As adherents of Truth, we take the inspired Word of the Bible as our sufficient guide to eternal Life." -Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.
The textbook can be read online at the Christian Science Publishing Society website. The tenets can be found on page 497 of Science and Health.
