Science is about laws of reality. Yes the world's scientists tend to observe the world in an attempt to find truth. But looking on the level of the world will only reveal things of the world. God's laws however are more natural. I beleive they are the absolute truth. Christ demonstrated the truth of unconditional love is deathless and that we can all demonstrate this law and be in accord with our Creator.

And as a sidenote CS denies the existence of Satan which the bible is VERY clear on. For even Jesus said "I saw satan fall like lightening from heaven". Good day hoes

And inspite of my atheism I know that Christian Science is COMPLETELY IN CONTRADICTION to what SCRIPTURE CLEARLY SAYS: CS denies Christ died for our sins and that God is made up of three PERSONS . Rather CS teaches that God is an abstract as in "mind".
"The secret" and "A course in miracles" are highly indebted to Mrs Eddy's views.
One of my old Cs sunday school teachers' ( a woman of great belief and faith) husband is on a machine for his kidneys - yep Cs really works - NOT!!

The bible also says, "thou shalt not kill," but then clearly endorses the killing of animals in order to eat. The bible contradicts itself probebly more so than anything i have ever read. The reason for this is because it isn't made to be taken literally, it is a collection of thoughts and ideas. This is obvious considering that not one person wrote the bible, therefore it is bound to have different views on certain subjects. Personally, i believe CS squeezes the best ideas out of the bible.

I got payed no money at all. I bareley go to church. I don't even like going to church. A lot of the whole church culture is what you said, abusive, mind controlling, etc. But if you can put something up to support your claim that it is all lies, than go right ahead. There are still countless people who have been affected positivley through this religion, including me. You should read the rest of what i said before you jump to conclusions.

I tried the best I could with this religion - I had a so called great practitioner working with me and I spent hours, weeks, months and years in prayer and nothing ever improved until I became an atheist. I was raised going to the Christian Science sunday school. I am happy if it's worked for anyone out there but I have never seen any proof that organised religion works positively for anyone except in giving them comfort and perhaps strength
Science - (From the latin "scientia", meaning knowledge or knowing) The effort to discover, and increase human understanding how the physical world works.
