how can any of you critique the techinque, conducting and musicianship of daniel barenboim.
here, we see a video of a man and an orchestra that has been a lifetime of practise in the making, while you all watch it while laying back in your armchairs, all alone by yourselves.
if you want to hear a better version ad believe you can point out the orchestras mistakes, learn the piece yourselves and CORRECT the mistakes!

...better than mme.haskil, impossible and completely wrong.she was in a way antagonistic to mr.barenboim:she suffered and was really sceptical towards her interpretations generally.but the sound she created on the piano was overwhelming and the few discs she made are highlights.between both pianists there are worlds.that u compare the early barenboim to arrau, horowitz and even rubinstein shows that u might not able to judge about those things! :((

Maybe true that Barenboims pianism has suffered because of his extensive conducting, but hes undoubtly one of the greatest musicians. His technical command was always flawless (better thans Haskils, i.e) And listen how he played as a younger man (Hammerklavier, Beethovens Op 90) These are documents of a pianist surpassing even Arrau, Rubinstein or Horowitz.

shit! for once I must admit that agree with you . I don't like barenboim ...
But I won't ever say he's a bad pianist . he's not the virtuoso performer but he does his job like everybody .
