To Add, I think cognitive behavior approach was used on me when I was growing up. So, I was explained about why I did what was wrong. Then I was punished. Sometimes, it was done in reverse. I was punished and then explained as to why I did what was wrong. A purely behaviorist approach is pretty damned wrong. The kid doesn't learn anything. Anyways, I am curious about how people would feel about cognitive/behaviorist approach to children. Any thoughts folks?

You may associate pain with the explanation and its morality hence causing the opposite effect of what was being aimed for

According to Skinner's behaviorism, psychologists shouldn't worry about what goes on inside the "black box" just what goes in and out of it. So in this sense, wouldn't what's going on inside the box be called the subconscious? I'm just confused. Could anyone explain?

The video, "Psychology Origin of Word, Psyche - Mind, Soul, Breath" should help clarify what Skinner was saying.
I do not agree with that view personally.
