what year is this performance?

I think it could be from the 'Gotham' DVD which was filmed when the band first reformed in 1998.
I saw Bauhaus several times during the early eighties and again in 1998 on the Resurrection Tour. Some of the best gigs I've ever attended along with The Birthday Party who I saw in 1982 and that remains the best gig ever.

thaddeuslowe I think he means the 4 letter "G" word feared by many
Bauhaus/Sisters of Mercy/Nick Cave/ Joy Division/The Cure fans everywhere.
Sometimes people put an "ic" on the end of it...
hint: Rymes with Cough, and Froth.

I love this song. It's one of my favorites and it still pops into my head from time to time. More than probably any other song.

Goth? Darkwave? WTF! Bauhaus is the genesis of so many labels. The Alpha. Go to the source...Pistols/Clash, Bauhaus/Siouxsie, Scraping Foetus(way ahead of their time), and of course Johnny Cash! LOL

did they play this?
thaddeuslowe (December 22, 2008 at 5:53 am)
Yes they did, and it was absolutely amazing. They played the vast majority of the old 'hits'. They also covered Tranmission by Joy Division which was superb. Another highlight was Ziggy Stardust. At the end Pete sang 'AND ZIGGY PLAYED ..... ran off stage changed costume while the band held the note & then with perfect time all came in at the right time on: GUITAR!' It was a phenonemal concert, & one I'll certainly never forget. I was expecting a historical curiosity, but it was superb.
