As soon as I hear "studies show" -insert bullshit-, red flags go up. I also think that was an irresponsible thing to say, it'd just love it if people referred to specific studies instead of referring to obscure evidence.

Maybe from a doctor no one knows anything about, but Dr. Weil isn't in a position to look foolish.

That's definitely a refined carb body, Andy.

Ha! Still you have to admit that he's changed the way America thinks about certain aspects of health, like trans fats for one.

A "low carb" diet is the only diet that has been successful for me. It's reduced my appetite and belly fat substantially. I'm considered "skinny" now by my everyone but it wasn't always like that. In the past, I had a gut that I couldn't lose. When I changed my diet and stayed away from junk food ~~ overnight, my weight changed significantly.
It may not work for you but it worked for me.

I was never overweight, but because I was depressed I changed my eating habits to natural foods and not only did I feel much better but I lost weight even though I wasn't overweight. Why bother with diets at all? If you eat natural foods exclusively then there is no need to count calories or 'carbs'. Your body will take care of itself, you just got to take care of it and keep clean of processed and unnaturally enriched foods. There is so much more to health than how much you weigh.

You should see Andy's 1968 Harley Shovel. Sweet ride for sure. Most folks don't know he's a total biker. He keeps it well hidden.
