Raja Ravi Varma(1848-1906): He achieved recognition for his depiction of scenes from the epics of the Mahabharata and Ramayana. His exposure in the west came when he won the first prize in Vienna Art Exhibition in 1873. His paintings are the best examples of the fusion of Indian traditions with the techniques of European academic art. He is generally considered as one among the greatest painters in the history of Indian art

Wow ! Raja Ravi Varma was a brilliant Artist with amazing skills and Intellect.

I just bought two Huge !!(4 X 5 feet} Canvas Prints of 2 of his paintings !

They look Fabulous! Now its possible to Own a Ravi varma on canvas and not pay a fortune for it !!!
