To perform this exercise correctly you have to curl the hips into flexion. Just raising and lowering you legs is not the most effective way to isolate your abdominals. Also, if your doing any abdominal exercise correctly it should activate the entire rectus abdominals. There is no lower and upper abdominal separation.

y wud u not train evry day? dont you give them a rest enough through sleep after 10 minutes of colling down i fell alot better y give them like 3 or 2 days to recover i nt an expert or anything but it doesnt sound right to work out 2-3 times a week

Your all wrong..you can train your abs every day, they DONOT need time to recover as they contain a high level of creatine. And training them once a week is pointless.

that is partly true, however for a skinny person trying to build up abs you need to let them grow, the only people who can train them everyday are fatter people or bodybuilders whose bodyfat level is already low, and they have already developed the musclefibers in the abs.

that is also not true... I am a skinny person, and I built up six-pack abs over period of about 6 month doing ab exercises for about 3 minutes every morning

your abs would be bigger and stronger if you trained them every other day. im not saying they wont grow if you do them everyday, but they would grow faster and bigger if you trained smart.
and youre skinny, your abs were already visible in the first place, any change in muscle size would be visible.

it isn't advisable to do any abs exercise everyday in a row. there are some problems that can occur if you do this, although the main reason is that if you want your abs to grow they need time to recover. Then will your abs grow faster and much stronger :) hope this helps :)
